Cupcakes!

Sapphire" I made these cupcakes for our church potluck. They are really moist and yummy, but the interesting thing is that these cupcakes are vegan!
We are "not" vegan, but these cupcakes are the greatest! If you want to try them, here is the website-http://chefchloe.com/.
The frosting that I used is a 7 minute one from this book. It is light, fluffy, almost like marshmallow! I hope you all enjoy trying these.

Pony-tails and Braids

Hair Stylist:Did I mention that I LOVE to do hair? Here is a pony-bun. It's a ponytail with a kick. And it's really easy.
This is a pony-braid. I made a pony tail, then I parted it in two. I took the right hand side and braided it as normal, then I wrapped it around the other pony tail and pinned it underneath.
This is a fishbone braid I did on myself.
This is a braided-over ponytail. I love the look of it and it was easy.

Modeling.

Because of Hair Stylist's birthday. She and I went outside to get a couple fun snapshots. I( Sapphire) was the photographer, hair lady, wardrobe, and location coordinator.

I tired to capture Hair stylist in every way. I think that it went well and that all the pictures turned out beautiful. You are a lovely model Hair Stylist!

The girls relaxing with a soothing feet soak.
After the facial masks that we made, the girls put on these chilled ones for more relaxation.
If you made it through the spa( He he) you got to enjoy the CHOCOLATE FOUNTAIN!!!!
Hair Stylist opening the gifts which she received.
Here she is with some of the lovely presents. Hair Stylist enjoyed every minute of the day, which is a good thing as she "was" the birthday girl!!

Hair Stylist's Birthday Spa!

For Hair Stylist birthday this year, she decided to do a spa day with a couple of friends. Me(Sapphire) and my other sister Tapper, decorated our upstairs for the party. Here Hair Stylist stands with the finished product!
Me and my Mom went out and got plenty of supplies for the party. Fun soaps, brushes, candles and bath salts were all part of the excitment!
We also found these cute Chinese lanterns at the store, so we strung them across the room.
I made this sign for the door, to welcome the guests in.
The dining room was decorated with streamers and balloons , and we had adorable place settings for everyone. More pic's to come!!!!

Dressing up!

Sapphire:"Hair Stylist and I dressed up as ( pretty ladies) and wore our loveliest dresses and tried to "deck out" in jewelery. Here is the lovely Hair Stylist in her bright pink dress, which our Mom made for her last birthday. And also a shawl that Hair Stylist tied up along with the bun in her hair.
Give a smile??? That's what I wanted to see, so lovely!
Hair Stylist:" Sapphire posed and gave me her interpretation of a Greek goddess. Her dress came from a resale shop for only 5$!
I snapped the picture just as the wind was blowing her dress. We had fun sitting together on wooden chairs that sat on the patches of grass which are starting to show on the yard. As you can see though, we still have an abundant of snow."

Red Lobster muffins!

Sapphire:"I found this wonderful, superb, recipe for the muffins that you get at Red Lobster. We love these sooooo much and now we can make them at home! I made them today for lunch along with some soup.
Here is the finished product. They turned out really well, and were snatched up as quickly as I was making them.
red lobster copycat cheddar bay biscuits
This picture is from the web-site where I found this recipe. These are how " hers" turned out!
Here is the site for you all to try, for they are sooooo good!!!!"

WE WERE HIT!!!!!!!

Well the title says everything! We woke up and found to our utter surprise that 2o inches of snow lay outside our windows.

It certainly looked like a Marshmallow World!
Our power had gone out the night before, so for breakfast my Mom made fresh tortillas, chorizos, and eggs over the wood stove in our house.
Our trees are reviving, as a lot of the snow has melted away believe it or not, and it seems that spring is on its way!

Vintage Roll

This is a vintage roll/tuck that I did on my own hair. The trick is to roll your hair really tight and then pin it.

French braid bun

Hi, Hair Stylist here...I braided Sapphire's hair into a "Never-ending french braid bun".
Here is what it looks like from a side view. Let me start by saying this was my first time doing this braid/bun.
Doesn't this side look beautiful?
I love what the top looks like. Sapphire has alot of hair. This braid was pretty involved, so I plan on making a video to show how I did it.
