Tangled!

We enjoyed watching this movie with our siblings. It has such a cute premise and the characters are all great.
Rapunzel! A sweet, modest, cute young woman who has never been out in the world, and yet knows how to be a tough girl.
 .
Now Flinn or Eugene is a exasperated guy who just wants to get out of the deal. But he has a good side as you can tell from this picture.
He has many talents too, and he is quite the counselor.
And at last the two together! What a sweet couple. Rapunzel's hair is sooooooo amazing with all of the flowers. What did you all think of the movie?Comment below!

Happy Memorial Day!

Let us all remember those who died for the sake of keeping our country safe, for the men and women who gave up their lives to keep our freedom! May God give those with lost ones comfort and peace on this day of rememberance.

"I have no illusions about what little I can add now to the silent testimony of those who gave their lives willingly for their country. Words are even more feeble on this Memorial Day, for the sight before us is that of a strong and good nation that stands in silence and remembers those who were loved and who, in return, loved their
countrymen enough to die for them.......

As we honor their memory today, let us pledge that their lives, their sacrifices, their valor shall be justified and remembered for as long as God gives life to this nation. And let us also pledge to do our utmost to carry out what must have been their wish: that no other generation of young men will every have to share their experiences and repeat their sacrifice......"

Chocolate covered Strawberries!

For our little brother's birthday(Music Man), he requested that he would like some chocolate covered strawberries. I(Sapphire) was given the( hard, exhausting, task). Ha just kidding! It was a very yummy job, cause I was able to have lots of" accidental" chocolate licks.
As you can see this was my finished product! They turned out soooooooooo yummy. "Did you know that you never put chocolate covered strawberries in the freezer. If you do, that is why when you pull them out and leave them on the counter, they start to kind-of- shrivel up."

Glasses, Glasses Glasses oh what shall we do!

Does your family have trouble trying to keep glasses from piling up??? Well this is our little trick to keep the glass rate low. WRIST BANDS!! We found a full bag of them at a garage sale for 50cents(great deal right?) Everybody in our family has a particular color which is theirs, and they use that glass all the time.
The bands are great because you can get them wet and don't have to worry about them fading away ( or sagging off).
We hope that this will help with many of you if you have this trouble in you family. Do any of you have a way to keep glasses low around your home? Leave a comment to share your thoughts.

Ginger and Fred.

We received this DVD collection set a couple of months ago after seeing Top Hat on TV. These are some of the greatest classic films out there. Ginger is so cute and is always getting into situations (which I'm sure she doesn't want to be in), and Fred? Well he is usually trying to get her in some way or another.  They dance so well together and have some hilarious humor entwined through their lines in the whole movie.

Happy Mother's Day!

Sapphire" So you are all probably wondering why I started this post with a picture of strawberry shortcake. Well we all enjoyed a gloriously beautiful day, and served our Mom a breakfast of omelets on the back deck, which afterward enjoyed this awesome strawberry short cake.
Hair Stylist and Music Man smile for me as we watch the opening of presents.
Hair Stylist" I made my Mom a knitted holder for her sun glasses and some earrings. And a cute Tea cup card, cause she like tea".
Sapphire" I made her a quilled card, and the apron which she is wearing.

Before dinner, we went to a park nearby to roller skate. Our Mom loves to roller skate, though we girls roller blade.
Mom, Hair Stylist, and Tapper before moving on.
Back at home we made a delicious Italian dinner. This was part of the meal, garlic herb bread, grilled and wiped with pesto. Now this was the first time either of us has had Pesto. But let me tell you it was awesome!" Hair Stylist and Sapphire" Happy Mother's Day Mom. We love you so much and are so very grateful that you are our Mom!"

Rain, Rain, Rain!

We had lots of rain a couple of weeks ago. And I do mean "rain", it was non-stop pour!
 Our gutter was over flowing
And our Mom's plants were drowning. It was nice to have a clean, refreshing rain though!

Sapphire" Sorry about not posting much, I have been down with a cold for almost 3 weeks. And Hair Stylist just recently got better. So if you ladies would pray for me, I would appreciate it very much!"

Serving at the ACT festival!

Hair Stylist and I volunteered at the ACT festival( Artists Creating Together) for people and children with special needs. There were different workshops set up for the festival, and they all took place in a museum. This was the room where I(Sapphire) volunteered in. I was in the workshop for" dance".
Before the workshops began, an adult group with disabilities did a dance that included this big parachute which was the high light.
Our little brother has down syndrome and came to the festival along with his class from school. He came into the "dance" department so I was able to see him.
Hair Stylist" I was in the "pottery" workshop, and had the chance also to see my brother."
Sapphire" This next picture is of me and Max Dingeman. He has down syndrome but is a social celebrity in the world of special arts. He and his partner won the first ever top score for the swing step at our local Dancing with the Stars.
This was the lady who was the dance instructor. She was a ball of energy, and lots of fun to work with. Her stage name is "Cat", which would explain why she wore cat earrings and cat shoes. We both had a fun time being able to serve and to see a whole different world of children and adults with disabilites.
