Valentines Day cooking.
With Valentines Day here, I baked up some fun "themed" food.
Classic sugar cookies, shaped as hearts with pink frosting.
Pink deviled eggs.
And I tried making a "heart shaped" pizza, but it didn't turn out quite right. So instead I cut out pepperoni in the shape of hearts. It was fun coming up with different foods that went around this pink, red, and heart filled holiday:) Did you cook anything special for Valentines Day?

Spreading Christmas Cheer.
With the Christmas season here, we have gone around to a couple assisted livings to perform Christmas songs and carols for the people there.
It's a blessing to see how much they enjoy the music.

Random Post.
A few random pictures from the past couple weeks. I made some chocolate cupcakes for my brother's birthday.
A lovely pink sunset fills the early winter sky.
Our snow is here to stay!
We went to see Music Man, the musical, performed by a local high school.

Sprinkle Cookies
I found this recipe for "Sprinkle Cookies" out on Pinterest. Wasn't sure if it would be good with all the sprinkles, but I decided to try it. And it turned out sooo yummy! Here is a step by step on how to make them. Start out with 1 egg.
Then add 1/2 cup of butter or 1 stick.
Next pour in 1/2 cup of white sugar
And a 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar
Pour in 2 tsp of vanilla extract
Ok now mix it all together for 5 minutes on medium/high. This is important to get your cookies light and fluffy! I forgot to do this in the midst taking pictures, and multi-tasking, so my cookies did turn out differently:(
After mixing for 5 minutes, add in 1 3/4 cups of cake flour, 2 tsp of cornstarch, 1/4 tsp of baking powder, 1/4 tsp of baking soda, a pinch of salt, and mix until incorporated.
YEAH!!!! Then comes the fun part.... adding in the sprinkles!
Add to your dough 1 1/2 cups of sprinkles.
They're so pretty!
And because we "LOVE" chocolate, I added in about 3/4 cup of crushed chocolate chips.
Wah la! The finished cookies! Now take into perspective that mine looked cracked because I forgot to mix my first step for the 5 minutes. The texture was a bit more crunchy, but they were still delicious! Here is the recipe link below.... hope you'll enjoy trying these out!

Autumn.
As you can see most of our trees have already lost their leaves... and its amazing how fast fall has come and gone.
I took these while out for a walk... even though the trees have already lost their leaves, the sky was so blue, and the sun shone so brightly!
Remember to always praise God for the beautiful creation that HE has made, and we are so blessed to be able to share in it!

Clouds
I wanted to share some recent pictures that I took of the different clouds that we've seen. How miraculous is GOD!
They're all beautiful and what a blessing to know that we have such a great and awesome Lord who allows us to share in all the beauty HE has created!
